Warehouse Manager – US Distribution Center

The Opportunity:

HTF is looking for a hands-on, results-oriented individual to join our US Distribution Center in the role of Warehouse Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day warehouse operations, including, but not limited to order picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control and quality assurance. This position also has oversight for certain aspects of facilities and grounds management. The Manger will provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers to help ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. He/she must be comfortable with multitasking and working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. This position reports to the President and COO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and timely handling of orders, receipts of inventory and shipments.
  • Identify those situations that require you to jump in and assist in any area of the warehouse operations to achieve daily objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Warehouse team members to improve capability and performance and maintain a cohesive team.
  • Actively engage and interact with other departments to handle day to day issues and challenges with the goal of improving performance and overall efficiency.
  • Ability to identify, problem solve and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage inventory control procedures and processes including replenishment, cycle counting, inventory substitutions, inventory movement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors (shipping, supplies, facilities) and other business partners.
  • Monitor staffing requirements through ongoing review of employee performance, coaching as needed and making recommendations for change.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while managing competing priorities.
  • Possess professionalism that focuses on customer service, organization, and being an overall team player.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 6 years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Experience in third party logistics and inventory management preferred.
  • Strong computer skills; must be comfortable with technology
  • Proficient in ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications
